International Harvester was an agricultural company that revolutionized American farms and set the standard for quality farm equipment. International Harvester changed millions of peoples lives and introduced new, better, and never before seen equipment that touched peoples lives all across the world and made America the booming agricultural headquarters of the world. A large portion of the equipment produced is still used in todays market harvesting the food on your table that feed families. This tractor was not nearly as powerful as the steam powered tractors but was much more efficient and required far less maintenance than the steam engine tractors. By 1919 International Harvester had made enough money to establish a new location. This location was in Canton Illinois. This new plant in Canton was to produce Equipment and marketing tools so that the Rockford and Chicago plants could focus on tractor and heavy truck production. In the years following they produced larger models called the farmall F12, F20, and F30 tractors. In 1963 International Harvester came out with a slightly bigger number series tractor called the 706, and 806 tractors. They had a more modern rear end to handle more power so they wouldn't have a repeat of the 60 series problems.
