In the 1920s there were changes in American society that led to new inventions that made America a more developed country. In the 1920s there were many inventions throughout the years which are part of the reason why history calls it “The Roaring Twenties.” Having the automobile around before the 1920s meant that there would be new businesses coming along for the automobiles. The electric blender was invented by Stephen Poplawski in 1922. Stephen Poplawski invented the blender to mix food and beverage items together with a small blade at the bottom of a container. The last kitchen appliance invented in the 1920s was the bread slicer. It was invented by Otto Frederick Rohwedder in 1928. The bread slicer mechanically sliced the bread loaves. The bread slicer was approximately five-foot long and three-foot high Rohwedder’s bread slicer sliced the bread and it would also wrap it in a wax paper to keep it from going
