Is Everyone the Same?

When I was 13 years old I went to a boy scout event with thousands of scouts, that was 15 days long called National Jamboree, which was held out in West Virginia. It wasn’t going to be like any other normal scout trip I’ve been on where it’s just my friends and I that go on a weekend Campout. This was going to be a fun and a very adventurous trip with people from all over the world in which I had no clue what I was going to expect. I’ve never been around other people other than who I went to school with or grew up with, so I wasn’t sure if I was going to be out of place going to a different state meeting new people, or if I was going to be treated just like everyone treats me at home. As I was packing my bag, I didn’t really know what I should be packing because I didn’t want people to be judging me for wearing something different than what they were wearing. At the Jamboree, we were able to go to, two different shows. One of which was a concert that we got listen to people who weren 't even famous yet, such as Maddie and Tae, and Sarah Centeno. The second show was put on by Mike Rowe, and 3 doors down. Getting to experience different types of music, and seeing what other people thought of it was a good experience because it had shown me that we all have different taste in things, but can still all get along and look at each other 's perspectives without judging, and doing it responsibly.
People from all over the US and people from other countries from the other side of the world started making friends with me. I was surprised how friendly everyone was. Nobody judged or picked on a single person, and for the first time at such a big place with thousands of people, I was comfortable being myself. I would have never thought as a little boy that no matter who or what you are, you 're going to be treated the same as
