You know how everyone is always glued to their phones, iPads, or computers and not paying attention to the real world? Well that led people to think about some schools doing a “Shut Down Your Screen Week.” The article “Attached to Technology and Paying a Price” by Matt Richtel is about how technology can be distracting in daily life. The other article titled “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” by Nicholas Carr Peter Norvig is about the pros and cons of using the internet. After reading both texts, the reader can come to the conclusion that schools should participate in a “Shut Down Your Screen Week”. To begin with, technology can be very distracting and the evidence used is about a man who is addicted to technology.
