I enjoyed listening to The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde more than reading it. I think we should have watched the movie first then read the book to help tie in the story line. The book work was good but if we could have gone over it in class it would have helped but then some students wouldn't have done anything so I would say it was fine just the way it was. And maybe have a group discussion of why it was important to be earnest. My first novel was Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. I enjoyed the book but would not recommend it to a student that doesn’t enjoy reading or has difficulty reading. I think maybe if there was a background paragraph given to students at the beginning of reading stating the social classes and maybe giving the characters a face (like putting an actor to a character). The amount of time for reading this book was a good amount and I was able to read it and learn some without feeling too rushed. But I would definitely suggest this book to someone that likes to look at society in a different way. …show more content…
Unlike the first one I didn’t feel like I had enough time to read all of it and wished I could have had more time. Although I did miss school i still feel like other students that read this book wouldn't had enough time either. I did enjoy this sanity questioning book and would again only recommend it to someone that likes to read and research the background of things referenced in the book. I do intend to read this book again and think deeply about. With it being a longer book I'm glad we didn’t get a lot of paperwork and I think that helped being able to read it
