Macbeth is responsible for the bloodshed in the play because he murders Duncan from craving power. Similarly, he kills his friend Banquo’s because being king was his highest priory. He also has no self control to say no when Lady Macbeth asks him to do things. These three reasons show Macbeth is responsible for the bloodshed. Being king was his highest priory and he has no self control. First, Macbeth craved power which makes him responsible for all the bloodshed in the play. Macbeth worries that someone will become king so, “Duncan have I murdered; put vancors in the vessel of my peace” (Shakespeare 3.1.71-73).
