Macbeth pays close attention to frame people of the murder. They begin to start talking about getting the murder. ''when in swinish sleep their drenched natures lie as in a death, what cannot you and I perform upon the unguarded Duncan (1.7. 75-78). They want to get the guard drunk so they can kill the king. In order to hide what he did to the guard, he kills them. He tells Lenox and Ross "had I but died an hour before this chance I had lived a blessed time"(2.3.99-100). Macbeth did this to not get blamed for the other murder so he confessed to killing the guard. Then Macbeth decides that Banquo and Fleance because Banquo has a strong suspicion that Macbeth killed the king and Fleance, is next in line for the throne. He hires two murderers
