Steve Harmon is so hypnagogic because he makes up such a lie on the podium to the point where I don’t even know if he wants out of jail. Steve Harmon is a 16 year old black male who live on the streets of Harlem. Steve Harmon has lied about not being at the drugstore in which the murder took place. Mr. Harmon has also taken part in the crime and he admitted it. If you think that is bad, Mr. Richard “Bobo” Evans said that he saw Mr. Harmon coming from the drugstore as planned. Mr. Harmon is on trial for felony murder of Alguinaldo Nesbitt. I think that Steve Harmon is truly guilty of felony murder because he killed a poor innocent man. In the book “Monster” Steve says, “I didn’t fight with Mr.Nesbitt.” (Page 115) this proves that Steve was at the drugstore because he is saying that he didn’t touch him. If you rephrase this it could sound like, “At least I didn’t fight with Mr. Nesbitt”. Steve also said that he was just going to get some mints and then the second time he said he went just to look around. One of these times he had to be lying just to cover himself up. If he was lying about one of the two (whether he went to get mints or not it doesn’t really matter.) options, this would show the he was purposely there. When Steve was talking in his notes, Steve said, “Does someone have to go to jail just for looking around a drugstore?” This shows that Steve was truly at the drugstore when the murder was happening. Looking around doesn’t have to be looking at the items on a shelf. After Steve heard about how the robbery was taking place, he figured he would go spectate and help if they really needed him.
