Electrical engineering appealed me because I saw myself an Electrical Engineer who will graduate from Texas A&M. In general engineering are a major that made up for brilliant people, it depends on Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. People who choose this major seems that they have high ambitions, but in my opinion, I want to be an Engineer, because I’m proud of myself that I’ll graduate from Texas A&M.
Isaac Newton was born on January 4,1643 in Woolsthrope, England. Newton was the son of a prosperous local farmer, who died three months before he was born. Newton was an only child, and his mother's name was Hannah Ayscough Newton, later on Hannah re-married Barnabas Smith and had three children. At age twelve Newton was introduced to the fascinating world of chemistry. When Newton was almost done with basic education, his mother wanted him to become a farmer.
Newton was never one to take all the credit for himself, not even as a kid. When Isaac Newton encouraged amazing acts of science, he became very popular amoung other scientists of this revolutionary era. What is really inspiring about Isaac Newton is how he handled all the attention he was receiving. Isaac Newton does admit that he has made contributions to the act of discovering the world, he does not take full credit for everything that he has done. It is my honor today to be accepting for the great Isaac Newton this at most prestigious award, the Nobel Prize. Isaac Newton was known for his great strides in the Scientific Revolution. He was one of the most important minds in the Scientific Revolution, hardships and determination is what led him to such achievements. A true Renaissance man Isaac Newton was a physicist and mathematician. He made great discoveries that changed the view of humankind.
There are plenty of amazing scientists out there, but out of all of them, Isaac Newton was easily one of the smartest; and was around during the scientific revolution. Newton was born to a single mom in Woolsthorpe, because his father had died three months before his birth. Around the age of three, he was discarded when his mother remarried and sent him off to live with his grandmother; this made an everlasting impact on his relations with other people in later life (Brain 148). Isaac Newton greatly changed the world through his discoveries, accomplishments, and lasting impact. Newton was born January 4, 1643, in Woolsthorpe, UK.
I had always wanted to pursue engineering; ever since the day I entered middle school. I was always fascinated in the world of science because of the endless possibilities one could achieve. As junior year rolled around physics made me change my mentality not because of the strain of physics but rather my disinterest for it. This class made me rethink what my future would shape up to look like. The passion for engineering was no longer there and I did not want to have a career in something I had no interest in.
I found Sir Isaac Newton’s biography the most interesting out of the short biographies we read for this module. I found him to be the most interesting because he invented and discovered so many important things, such as gravity, the three laws of motion and the reflective telescope. He did so much that even Albert Einstein, who many people think is brilliant, believed that Sir Isaac Newton was one of the smartest men that ever lived. That is a huge compliment from someone who is also considered to be one of the smartest people to live by the general population. Just like Albert Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton started off as just an adequate student, but later went on to make great discoveries.
The world how we know it today would not have been possible without the revolutionary ideas and discoveries of humans such as Sir Isaac Newton. He used mathematics to explain the world around him, and his understanding of the universe and the world came from his equations. His discoveries are still relevant today and thanks to him, three centuries later humans would be able to go to space using his laws of motion and gravity. Sir Isaac Newton was born in Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire, England on December 25, 1642, (January 4, 1643, New Style) and died in London on March 20, 1727 (March 31, New Style) at the age of 84. He is one of the most famous figures from the scientific revolution of the 17th century.
Sir Isaac Newton accomplished many things. We have learned quite a lot from what he has discovered, and most of it’s used in today’s education systems. Most of us have become familiar with his three laws of motion and have applied them to daily life. Aside from that, one of his most important accomplishments also includes inventing the Reflecting Telescope. Galileo Galilei was one of the first people to invent a telescope, but this one was invented in 1668.
In 1665 Newton took his bachelor’s degree at Cambridge without honors. The university closed the next two years because of plague, so Isaac returned to Woolsthorpe in midyear. In the next year and a half, he made a series of new contributions to science. He later recalled, “All this was in the two plague years of 1655 and 1666, for in those days I was in my prime age for invention, and minded mathematics and philosophy more than at any time since.” In mathematics, Isaac conceived his “method of fluxions,” laid in the foundations for his theory of light and color, and achieved significant understanding into the problem of planetary motion.
Science and Math have always been my passion, and no discipline combines them better than engineering. My interest in engineering started early, as I watched my father disassemble hard drives, design miniscule parts, and change the world through his work. Over time, I found myself with the same love of design and innovation that my father had, but unlike him, my love lay more within Chemistry rather than Physics. This interest was only strengthened during my visit to an oil refinery which, led me to pursue Chemical Engineering.
I enjoy engineering, in fact when I get older I want to become a biomedical engineer. I want to be able to help people. As well as find solutions to help people in their everyday lives. So that hopefully it would make life easier and less stressful for them. I enjoy all the problem solving that comes with engineering.
Growing up, I yearned to become an engineer. Being on the cutting edge of math and science caught my eye from a young age, and I would dream of being involved in the world’s next greatest invention. However, as I matured through my high school career, I began questioning if I would be content as an engineer and if there would instead be a better career choice available. When it came time to apply for college I applied to nine schools, all of which were engineering colleges, despite the many reservations I possessed towards becoming an engineer for the rest of my life.
Isaac Newton was truly an amazing man, who had made many inventions and discoveries, allowing science to advance in an uncountable amount of ways. Newton was very smart at a very young age. Throughout his college years and into his teaching career is when he made most of his discoveries in the mathematical and scientific fields. He will be remembered and respected for the lasting impact he had on the modern world. Newton should be looked upon as a role model for scientists, mathematicians, and even inventors.
