Romeo and Juliet, by WIlliam Shakespeare, is a play, but also could make a good reality TV show. Just like the everyday TV shows now a days, there are always those two people who end up falling in love, and it always has its ups and downs. In Romeo and Juliet, there are several problems involving these two young lovers. Two of the major contributions to Romeo and Juliet’s issues are their families; the Capulets and Montagues. Both these families have a hatred for one another. Friar Laurence also tried to fix the feud by marrying the two star-crossed lovers. The Friar believed that this would solve the problem, but it didn’t. It caused more problems than you could imagine. Romeo and Juliet, has everything that a TV show needs and wants. It has the drama, and of course, the romance. Right when you flick through the TV channels, wouldn’t you stop and take a second to watch the poignant scene on the balcony? The two starred crossed lovers won’t allow anything to stop them and they demand to be married. Juliet forgets about Paris and ends up going straight to Friar Laurence and asks to get married to Romeo. The Friar ends up agreeing to marry the lovers, thinking that it would resolve the feud between the two families. There’s a problem, Juliet cannot let her family know or they will disown her. Just like any family, there’s always that one family member or family friend that has a temper or doesn’t get along with someone or is very protective, and that’s Tybalt who is part of the Capulets. Tybalt is the nephew of Lord Capulet, and Juliet’s older cousin. Tybalt is known for being a skilled swordsman who is tough, cocky and aggressive, who is always looking for a fight.
