The most hated plot in America is the underdog’s demise- the empathetic pain of scrutiny, and the failure we all miss to escape. The scrawny, glasses-wearing outsider is often the underdog, the hero we all cheer for. The one who makes all the refinements in a society that is stagnant to change. And his most successful storytelling, or retelling, is that in the setting of high school. He walks awkwardly down the hall with his shoulders slightly hunched inward and mouth slightly ajar.
The little brother is born with a disability where he has trouble learning things. The big brother is ashamed because his brother can't walk when he is 5. The big brother spends months teaching him to walk. But then the kid dies and the big brother is sad though he was ashamed.
In “Fastbreak” by Mike Lupica, Jayson faces many struggles in poverty. Jayson has no money and he is all alone until he gets caught stealing. Now Jayson lives on the rich side of town with new people. Through the stories hardships when Jayson moved to the rich side of town, to him living with new people, and he has a new team and a new school to get used too.

It was more likely for an African American in California to go to prison rather than attending a state university.
The two stories, Drumbeats and Bullets and The Drummer Boy of Shiloh have many comparisons and contrasts. One story is mostly fact based, while the other is more of a story. Both stories have facts about the life in war as a drummer boy. Johnny Clem (from Drumbeats and Bullets) and Joby (from The Drummer boy of Shiloh) can relate in many different ways.they also have factors that make them very different.

It is important to learn about the effects of these acts, not only on the person it happens to but also their community. One book that communicates that well is All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely. This book had many messages that could help people and society as a whole.
Thomas now twenty six decided it was time for him to go back to college to get his ministers licences . Because he decided to become a minister he started to go back home on the weekends to visit with family .But on this day he had gone outside to watch his brothers play and noticed this girl standing all alone from the crowd of children , Just blankly staring at them and asked his brothers about that girl they had explained to him that she was deaf and no one really talked to her this made Thomas intrigued with the girl so he was drowned to her like she was a puzzle that he need to see or complete . The boys told Thomas that the girl 's name was Alice Cogswell , so with much determination Thomas went over to the little girl . He then removed his hat in front of the little girl , He then started to write “ hat” in the dirt .
Though throughout his whole life he has been treated differently because he is in fact different. He is taller, stronger, smarter, etc. Even though they have always held him back he still wished to fit in. Now he has just found out that the society in which he always wished to fit into, is not what he has always thought it to be. That the society in which he was raised is wrong.
Every child comes into this world as a selfish, manipulative, cruel and stubborn being. It is the parents and society that teaches children how to function in a civilized world, and societal laws that keeps them under control. William Golding wrote this novel in the early years of the cold war and the atomic age. In William Golding's classic novel Lord of the Flies, Golding uses Jack, a young savage who looks to lead a group of stranded kids on an island with no food, no rules, and no adults. The effect freedom has on Jack has turned him into a savage because he does not have to listen to anyone since there are no adults on the island.
He is at a dead end job working on roofs, he sees himself going nowhere because he is a high school dropout and is looking towards drugs and alcohol for an escape. But everything seems to change when he gets the news that he is going to be a father soon. Becoming a father gave him the mindset that he was going to have to be more responsible now. As his son got older he decided to change his life for him and his son so he began to read books to him. He practiced over and over and three years later he decided that he wanted to go back to get his GED.
Great heroes need great sorrows and great burdens or half their greatness goes unnoticed. It's all part of the fairy tale. We usually don't want to give up our happiness for something other than for more happiness. When heroes give up their happiness it is usually so that others instead of themselves could be happy. Heroes fight for some that's worthwhile, are brave in the face of Death himself, and are not selfish but are instead looking for others.
According to Rousseau, people give up some of their liberty and property to exchange for protection from the government, in what is called a social contract. But sometimes there comes a time, when the government becomes so corrupt, so dishonorable, so abominable, that it is beyond repair. Then the people havve a right to take up arms against their monarch, for the betterment of their lives and the lives of others. In a revolution, many times there is no way to avoid bloodshed. Do the ends ever justify the means?
