Some of the people that impacted segregation were Daisy Bates, and Jackie Robinson. Daisy Bates impacted segregation because she wanted all African American students to be able to go to schools without being a problem so that is why Daisy Bates has been working with the NAACP for 18 years. Jackie Robinson also had an impact on segregation because when he was joining the league no one liked him but that didn't affect him. Jackie used his popularity to go to a different type of rally to stop segregation. Jackie Robinson was the most helpful African American activist that is trying to desegregate schools and he was the first African American to break the color barrier. and Daisy Bates helped African American students in the same way. Jackie Robison helped The Little Rock Nine by writing a letter to the president which whom he has a more connection where if the president reads the letter and agrees with Jackie Robinson this can be a way to make African American students desegregated. In the letter, we can see how Jackie Robinson really feels about segregation and he said “When you said we must have self-respect, I wondered how we could have self-respect and remain patient considering the treatment accorded us through the years.” Jackie Robinson is expressing his feeling about segregation and how can they be still when they have to fight just to live. Daisy Bates had a similar approach as Robinson, Daisy Bates worked with the NAACP to also get schools desegregated as well, Daisy Bates wrote newspapers that involved segregation and how segregation wasn't right to do. Daisy used her newspapers for the schools that followed the federal mandate. So it shows that Daisy is putting information in her articles that other people can read helps The Little Rock Nine because the more people that read about what happened and what The Little Rock Nine is going through the readers can have a different perspective on them. So we can also see that Jackie and Daisy went through the same approach to announce the Little Rock Nine and how it was tragic throughout U.S.
