Have you ever read James Dashner’s novels and wondered what type of writing styles this author uses? One style is imagery,imagery is describing something very visually.In addition, he makes sure visual details that are in the beginning of the novel are important through his novels. I will cite imagery examples from in his novel ,“The Death Cure . Then I will cite other examples about imagery in his other novel, “Kill Order”. Another writing style used is he hints the plot throughout the story.I will cite evidence from the novels, “The Death Cure” and “Kill Order” . These are the two writing styles James Dashner uses.

In James Dashner’s novel “ The Death Cure”, he used imagery in many ways while he stayed on the point of view of the main character Thomas. The author used imagery to describe Thomas’s friend Newt, who was not immune to the Flare disease. This disease caused him to go crazy and pull his hair out.“ Newt looked horrible, his hair had been torn out in patches clearing bald spots” This is one example of imagery in the Death Cure. My second piece of evidence is when Thomas saw more people with the Flare disease.“He turned to see a man and a woman tearing away at the remaining glass , in the broken window blood oozed on the van”. He wrote, “But the tubes did not look like any guns... They were thin and long with an attachment at the end that made them reassemble plumbing parts, someone had ripped out an industrial pump”,this gives vivid detail about the desperateness some people defend themselves with whatever possible. Also, the author wrote ,“The man’s pale face showed the terror in his eyes”. This is describing the terror of the man when he saw what the flare did to people in his village.
