African American 24 month old James lives in an apartment with his mother. James' mother, Vanessa who is 21 works at Walmart Supercenter and his dad who is 23 years old works at Bar S foods. James parents are not together. James has a pet pit bull that lives at his dad's residence. James likes to play with his toy cars and trains he also enjoys watching cartoons. James thinks its funny to mock his mom when she is upset. James first word was " dada," and Vanessa says she wasn't too happy about it. James stares at objects for an extended period; I think he may be curious about the object. James uses a lot of hand gestures when he speaks. James has begun making short sentences. His favorite ones are "love you" and " no, you stop."James favorite movie is boss baby it is one of the only films he will sit still and watch. James is an excellent listener when his mom tells him to pick up his toys he will place them in his toy bin where they are supposed to go. He also is good at throwing his trash away when told to do so. James likes to go through things because he is curious. He opens cabinet doors and drawers because he wants to know whats inside.
Vanessa smoked marijuana her first two months of pregnancy because she wasn't aware she was pregnant but once she found out, she immediately stopped. Vanessa began drinking lots of soda during her pregnancy. Vanessa listened to a lot of classical music while she was pregnant. James does not express his emotions well when he is mad, hurt, or has done something wrong he cries. James has grown up with spending majority of his time at Vanessa's house. James is very shy.
