Billie would say to Chris after her husband would get in a fight, “If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be with your father” (“Return to the Wild ''). Billie was very unhappy with herself and marriage and decided to blame it on Chris. When Carine was a teenager it was just Billie and Walt would take a trip to the family cabin.
