It is a pleasure felt by seeing another person’s misfortune or pain. Studies have been concluded to figure out why people feel this and enjoy others pain. Which eventually led to him leaving the group and creating his own. He could not feel happy for Ralph because he had an overwhelming feeling that he was being ignored for a position he deserved. This feeling of jealousy is what first started the havoc that would happen on the island. Jealousy occurs often, and when not dealt with correctly, can lead to major problems.
