Othello, the play's protagonist and hero; is a Cristian moore who has a genuine and strong love for god. General Othello id physically and mentally powerful, despite all the heat he gets for being a colored man around that time. Most times he manages to always keep a cool head and does whatever needs to be done to execute the whatever mission that needs to be complete.

Iago is also an important character in the play. He is 28 years of age, a heinous villain, but most importantly he is General Othello's deceiving right hand. He presents himself to Othello as a honest, loyal, courageous man, but when in reality he is the complete opposite. Jealousy is what drives him to ruin everyone's life so shamelessly.
