It was until August 1, 1942, when Hank Levas and his girlfriend had a violent confrontation with a neighboring gang. Origins of the gang/ information about the founders The Black P. Stones is an American street gang founded on the south side of Chicago. The gang was originally founded in 1959 by Jeff Fort and Eugene Hairston. Jeff Fort is originally from Mississippi. His parents John and Annie Fort were former sharecroppers who moved their family to the Chicago southside in 1955 by 22nd and Cottage Grove.
