In telling of the story of Jesus, Matthew made certain to write about the countless healings that Jesus performed. In the ministry of his, Jesus found the so many faithful individuals throughout the land, some of which were disabled or sick. In the title of God the Father, Jesus healed the individuals due to the solid confidence of theirs in God. Matthew wrote of Jesus mercy throughout chapter eight. God sacrificed his perfect son to give us hope and to give us salvation. Sin cannot be let go unpunished, something has to pay for the sins of the world and this unfortunately causes pain and suffering. Jesus died on the cross for our sins to take away our sins and that whoever believed in him would be saved. Matthew emphasizes the earth shattering implications of the death as well as resurrection of Jesus Christ, as well as brings us back again to the central motif of the kingdoms of heaven and earth. It was described in the book of Matthew that there were signs of the darkening of the heavens, the shaking of the earth, and the resurrection of the dead (Matt. 27:45-54).
