Equality in the United States of America was revolutionized by John F. Kennedy. JFK was a president of the united states, he was involved in multiple world crisis and is one of the best world leaders. He was the 45th President, went to Harvard, and also joined the Navy. JFK had been assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald which caused great distress in the Kennedy Family. JFK was an inspiration to the whole world due to his involvement in, Civil Rights, the Cold War, and the moon landing. President Kennedy set up a blockade around Cuba that allowed him to seize the turkish missiles ending the cold war. “John F. Kennedy decided to place a naval ‘quarantine,’ or blockade, on Cuba to prevent further Soviet shipments of missiles.”(Cuban Missile Crisis). This blockade stopped the Soviets from getting missiles. After creating a blockade, that allowed him to seize the missiles. Due to Kennedy’s actions, he ended the war …show more content…

“ The Kennedys' personal intervention led to a public endorsement by Martin Luther King Sr., the influential father of the civil rights leader.”(Civil Rights Movement). Due to the publicity from other speakers, it allowed JFK to spread more of his freedom for all thoughts. Kennedy spread inspiration to a great deal of Americans, that inspiration allowed America to become the free society that it is today. Kennedy succeeded in equalizing education and ending segregation. JFK did not only grant equal rights to youth, but also adults. In Kennedy’s speech he says, “this is the land of the free except for the Negroes; that we have no second-class citizens except Negroes; that we have no class or caste system, no ghettoes, no master race except with respect to Negroes?”(John F. Kennedy Speeches). When JFK said this, he was proving to the world that he cares about everyone regardless of race. JFK showed his lack of racism and that makes him one of the best world
