Jimmy Carter was the 39th President of The United States. He was born October 1, 1924, in Plains, Georgia. He graduated college in 1946 and joined the Navy as a lieutenant and also married his wife Rosalynn this year. In 1953, he left the Navy to take over his father's farm after he passed away and operate the warehouse with his wife.
Carter soon became a big figure in the community and in 1962 won the Georgia Senate Election. Then in 1971, he won the election to become Georgia’s 76th Governor. In 1974 he was selected as a candidate for president and that November won the presidential election becoming the 39th President of The United States.

Ronald Reagan was the 40th president of the United States. He was born February 6, 1911. After high school, he attended college. After graduation, he became a radio broadcaster. In 1937, he won a contract in Hollywood. He went on to appear in 53 films.
His first marriage to Jane Wyman, they bore two children. Unfortunately, they divorced and he remarried in 1952 to Nancy Davis, a fellow actress, and the bore two children also.
In 1966 Reagan was elected Governor of California and was reelected in 1970.
In 1980, he was nominated for the Republic Presidential nomination and won the election for president against Jimmy Carter.
President Reagan took office in 1981. He was shot 69 days after his inauguration in an assassination attempt. He recovered and returned with good spirits, which made him even more popular.
In 1986, Reagan eliminated deductions and exempted million of lower income families. The country had its longest recorded time period of peace and prosperity, avoiding depression and recession.

He also served as US Ambassador to the U.N., as Chairman of the Republican National Committee, as Chief of The U.S. Liaison Office in China, as Director of The CIA, and was Vice-President to Ronald Reagan.
He ran for president in 1988 and won the election. He swore in as 41st President in January 1989.
During his presidency, Bush saw the cold war end, which reduced nuclear war threat drastically. The Soviet Union came to an ultimate stand still and was replaced with a democratic Russia, freeing the Baltic states. Germany came back into the Eastern European fold and the Berlin Wall fell. Bush also put together the liberation of 32 nations in Kuwait.
President Bush made public service a huge part of his presidency. He founded the Point of Light Foundation, he also created the National & Community Service Act of 1990.
His presidency ended in 1993, but he did not stop serving the public. He still continues to raise millions & volunteer for many organizations and
