A recent federal lawsuit has been filed by the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) challenging the constitutionality of three provisions of the Setonia’s Abortion Laws. The three provisions ACLU are challenging are as follows (McCauliff): • Law which prevents state health officials from renewing or issuing licenses to abortion clinics located with 2000 feet of an elementary school (McCauliff). • Law which requires physicians performing abortions to complete 10 hours annually of continuing medical education on abortion procedures (McCauliff). • Law which requires abortion providers to give every patient a copy of her medical records, regardless of whether the patient requests such records (McCauliff).
Per scheduled meeting with peer counselor, Katherine indicated that she resides in Union City, NJ with mother and younger brother. Katherine is currently uncertain of career goals or majors, but she likes the idea of becoming a Special Education Teacher. She might major in Education and possibly psychology. In high school Katherine was part of an organization called “Unified Students.” There she assisted students with disabilities to play sports.
Debbie Dingell is a representative from Michigan and her party is Democrat. After looking on her webpage I came upon this direct quote about the decision made in Texas about women and reproductive rights. I enjoyed her quote on this issue I strongly believe that women should have the control over what they do with their bodies. I would fully support a person who believes that women’s issues are still not handled in 2017. Having to drive hundreds of miles in order to get proper care is not acceptable and I am glad to read that Debbie Dingell agrees with that issue.
Stephanie Hepburn is a graduate of Washington College at American University along with Rita J. Simon who has continued to become a University Professor in the School of Public Affairs. Nevertheless, Rita J. Simon has been known for being the author and editor of books such as “Global Perspectives on Social Issues: Juvenile Justice Systems” and “Adoption across Borders.” In the book under the section of United States, Hepburn and Simon have explained events which women were involved in, such as how “All Yeomen received honorable discharges” in 1919, and even how “Abortion laws began to appear in the United States around the 1820s forbidding a woman to have an abortion after she felt the baby move for the first time - roughly four months after

The Hyde Amendment was introduced in 1976, as pro-life legislation that prohibits federal Medicaid coverage of abortion except in cases of rape, incest and when the mother’s life in jeopardy. The Each Women Act, introduced by Barbara Lee (D-CA) would restore accesses to abortion coverage to health insurance programs managed by the federal government.
In “A Defense of Abortion,” Judith Thomson argues with a unique approach regarding the topic of abortion. For the purpose of the argument, Thomas agrees to go against her belief and constructs an argument based on the idea that the fetus is a person at conception. She then formulates her arguments concerning that the right to life is not an absolute right. There are certain situations where abortion is morally permissible. She believes that the fetus’s right to life does not outweigh the right for the woman to control what happens to her own body.
Before writing this essay I thought long and hard on what topic I would choose. I wanted it to be something very interesting to me and something I had knowledge about already. After reading the article “Three Legal Reasons Abortion Should Be Banned” by Kristi Burton Brown, I knew exactly what I wanted to write and what my argument would be. While writing this essay I think I had a growth mindset. Although I already had knowledge on abortions reading this article made me realize why abortions most definitely be banned.
Moriah Adams October 28, 2015 Current Events Paper Planned Parenthood Executive Harvesting Baby Body Parts An upsetting video was released recently that features comments from Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical services, where she was describing how some doctors conduct abortions in order to leave fetal body parts in tact so that they can be harvested and sold. Actors were placed in a meeting with this doctor using hidden cameras to capture what she and her practice were doing behind closed doors. The woman was shockingly flippant about the whole subject and spoke of unborn babies, organs and body parts as if it is nothing more than a business strategy.
Rough Draft As human beings, it is forbidden to kill or murder people. Why should killing an innocent new soul be okay or outright legal? Every legal surgical abortion stops a beating heart and terminates a life. Killing a fetus that has a soul ready to live is morally wrong!
Lead by the conservative politicians, their aims have been to cut federal funding so that Federal dollars are not going towards abortions. Annas and Mariner (2011) discuss the issues presented to Barack Obama when attempting to pass the Affordable Care Act. He spoke in 2010, reassuring the American people that federal money would not be spent on abortions (p. 1590). With the recent election in America, Trump and the Republican government will bring up issues involving funding to Planned Parenthood. Trump’s Vice-President, Mike Pence has been a strong advocate against Planned Parenthood for several years (Ziegler, 2012, p. 724).
In the case of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruled that multiple U.S. amendments give Americans the right to privacy. Although the case ruled abortion a right for women, many states still implement rules and regulations that make a professionally administered abortion very hard, if not nearly impossible to obtain (Abortion). I believe that abortion should be legalized and made readily available all over the world. The easy availability of professional abortions reduces the rate of maternal death (Abortion).

Why Abortion Should Be Illegal Abortion has been a popular debate in the United States, especially after the Supreme Court ruling in 1973 stating a woman has the right to an abortion. In my opinion, abortion is wrong and very unethical. There are some specific instances where abortion may be acceptable, but for the most part, abortion is an evil act. Abortion should be illegal because it is the killing of an innocent human, even if he or she has not been born yet.
Is abortion becoming a modern life cause of casualty? Should abortion be completely banned? Why should we fight against abortion? According to statistics, there is an equal “yes” and “no” answers regarding the issue, ventilating opinions over the matter, thus fortifying arguments revolving it. Indeed, abortion is becoming a modern life cause of casualty and is also becoming an option.
