Patrick Lee and Robert George assert that abortion is objectively immoral. One of Lee and George’s main reason for coming to this conclusion is that human embryos are living human beings. This essentially validates that abortion is indeed the process of killing a human. Another main point said by the two is a rebuttal to a common argument used in favor of abortion, which states that a potential mother has full parental responsibilities only if she has voluntarily assumed them. The rebuttal to this was that the potential mother does indeed have special responsibilities to raise the child.
In reflection to the readings, there are many arguments that are for or against abortion. Is abortion ever justified? In feminism point of view, Susan Sherwin believes, yes, abortion is justified because it focuses on woman’s right to abortion in a liberal aspect. She also believes that woman’s right that pregnant woman are the best judge when to considering to abort the fetus. That means, the autonomy is shifted to the woman.
As a young woman whose family struggles with finances, health care is not easy to come by. I, and many other young women like me, have limited access to the information and services we need in regards to our bodies. For years Planned Parenthood has ensured women like me get the health care we need, and should it get defunded we, and America as a whole, will suffer. In a country where health care is prices as a luxury Planned Parenthood has shone like a beacon of hope to those who cannot spare the money for hospitals.
22 people strongly agreed that the government should fund Planned Parenthood and 54 strongly disagreed with this claim. 40 people somewhat agreed and 42 somewhat disagreed. There were 42 neutral people who didn’t have a view on whether the government should or should not fund Planned Parenthood. In all 62 people agreed and 96 disagreed. 28.4% of the men who answered agreed and 12.2% of them strongly agreed.
Abortions have been around ancient times. However the right for women to choose whether not she wanted to have an abortion has not. Before the 1880’s abortion was legal in the United States. After that most states would only allow it to save the mother’s life.
Teen pregnancy is out of control. Too many young people have irresponsible sex. The STD rates are skyrocketing. The media is feeding kids harmful ideas. The list goes on and on.
Rough Draft As human beings, it is forbidden to kill or murder people. Why should killing an innocent new soul be okay or outright legal? Every legal surgical abortion stops a beating heart and terminates a life. Killing a fetus that has a soul ready to live is morally wrong!

Should Adoption or Abortion Be More Readily Available in America? The argument of abortion vs. adoption has been a lingering soft spot for many Americans. All throughout history, people have argued about whether or not abortion is ethical and should be legal. According to FindLaw, the court case Roe v. Wade ruled in a 7-2 vote and made abortion legal in 1973.

This is still a debate, even though in 1973, the Supreme Court ruled that the procedure is a fundamental right in the case Roe v. Wade (Abortion ProCon.org, 1). According to Guidelines on Termination of Pregnancy in Malaysia (2012), termination of pregnancy refers to therapeutic abortion performed usually to preserve the mother’s life. There is on-going debate over legal, moral, religious and ethical issues of abortion.
