J.K Rowling, the famous author of the Harry Potter series, was not always the successful and put together woman she is today. Her life before Harry Potter wasn’t glamorous at all. Rowling faced many struggles throughout adulthood and childhood. By looking at Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, one can see that J.K. Rowling included themes of love and death because of Rowling’s difficult childhood and the death of her mother. Joanne Rowling was born in Yates, England on July 31, 1965. Rowling lived a fairly happy early childhood(bio.com). Even as a child she knew she wanted to write books. At the age of only six, she wrote a story about a rabbit who became ill with measles. At the age of nine, Rowling moved to rural England. Her childhood unfortunately wasn't as happy as it once was.
