Joan Crawford was in several movies when she was still alive. According to the research I have done, Crawford has been in at least 52 films within her time period. Joan Crawford refused to give her age to anyone. To this day nobody can confirm her real age. The believe that she was born in the year 1906. Everyone believes that the day of her birth is March 23. Crawford was an American film and television actress, starting out as a little show-girl. Joan Crawford died on May 10, 1977. She was a very busy actress, and was also a mother. For example, the movie Trog had fallen in between the genre lines of Horror, Monster Movie, and Cult Film. 3 Different Genres all in one movie. She was also known for doing Drama, Romance, Comedy, and Thriller movies. Almost all of her films lie under these Genres. She had so many movies which is one of the reasons why she had so many Genres to come from the movies. From what I have seen she has played in her fair share of comedy movies which might make her a funny character. Being an Oscar winner does not come easy. She won her first and only Oscar in the year of 1946 for her film Mildred Pierce. She was nominated for an Oscar 2 times after that for her leading roles in the films Possessed, and Sudden Fear. However, she did not win those times. In 1970 she won an award for her role in Sudden Fear for Best Actress for the drama films. That year she won the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globe Awards. She won 2 Golden Apple Awards in 1945, and 1946 for Most Cooperative Actress. She also won a Golden Laurel award in 1953 for Best Female Dramatic performance.This happened to be for her role in Sudden Fear. She won a second the following year for Top Female Musical Performance.This was for the musical Torch. In 1945 Crawford won an NBR award for Best Actress in Mildred Pierce. The following two awards were some of the biggest as in 2005 she won the OFTA Hall of Fame Award as an Actress. Finally she won a Motion Picture Star on the Walk of Fame.
