Joaquin Guzman, or commonly known as El Chapo is an infamous Mexican drug lord. El Chapo, is about 60 years old, and is the head of the Sinaloa cartel, which is the World’s most powerful drug trafficking organization. El Chapo is the founder of the Sinaloa cartel, and they are known for their violence and their powerful influence. El Chapo was born into a family of poverty, and had an abusive father who was involved in drug trade. Can El Chapo be re-captured? There are three main reason of why he would not be able to be recaptured, first, how he has been in prison before, and escaped, how he is too popular in Mexico, and how other countries must get involved in the search and where he must be held in prison.
The first reason why he would not be able to be re-captured is his experience in jail and how is able to break out. Joaquin Guzman has had a few encounters in prison. He was arrested in 1993; he was sentenced to 20 years in a maximum-security prison in Mexico. Even in prison, he was still leading the cartel; he would bribe guards to allow him to have visitors. Joaquin has bribed many of the guards while he was in prison, according to Biography.com, A federal investigation led to the arrest of 71 prison employees, including the warden. With the help of the guards, he managed to escape from prison in a laundry cart. El Chapo had just escaped from prison for the first time. It then took them from 2001 to 2014 to capture him again. El Chapo was on the run for thirteen years! El Chapo was finally captured in February of 2014, in a hotel in Mexico. The United States wanted El Chapo to be extradited to the United States, but the Mexican government declined. He will only be captured anytime soon if the United States and other countries are involved in the search for him. In addition, to make sure that he stays in prison, and does not escape as easily. El Chapo has been able to get out of prisons in Mexico, because he has many men there to help get him out, but in other countries, it will be a lot more difficult. I know for a fact, that here in the United States, El Chapo might be able to bribe guards, but I do not think that he will be able to get out of one of the Maximum security prisons over here, and I believe the same goes for other prisons in other countries.
