The Clash was a punk rock band that the world admired from start to finish.
The Clash became interested in punk rock music. Joe Strummer or John Graham Mellor was about nine and his parents sent him to boarding school. So he didn’t see his parents, when he could visit his parents it was in Iran, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. When he came back from those places he had made exotic records (Bowe, 2011). After Rhodes won court the band started some new songs that were awesome (Gilmore, 2008). When Joe Strummer was at boarding school he first heard of rock he liked the rolling stones' song not fade away (Bowe, 2011).
Joe Strummer was also in the 101ers before he was with The Clash. The 101ers are a band that started with rock and roll and R & B. Strummer took lead of the 101ers march 1976. The clash members had found out about Strummer and the 101ers and thought it was cool (Gilmore, 2008).

The Clash went on a road trip to hear the sex pistols at a tour. Before it began they spoke on TV (Bowe, 2011). It was the best time for the clash they did not go to England or America, and once they won it helped pull them apart (Gilmore, 2008).
