News stations across the New York area report on the shocking arrest of John Dillon. “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to NBC News New York at 4 p.m. I am Joyce Williams, a narrator. We have breaking news for you at this hour. John Dillon, the CEO of New York Importing and Exporting in lower Manhattan, one of the biggest companies on the entire East Coast, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder of his former secretary, Maria Santino, 28. Her body was discovered earlier today at her apartment complex in SoHo. She was brutally stabbed twelve times with a kitchen knife. Police were called in around 1 p.m., as a neighbor in the building heard a piercing scream coming from Maria’s unit. To make matters even worse, she was believed to be three months pregnant. According to sources, John Dillon is suspected to be the father of the baby and had a clear motive to commit this heinous crime. Dillon, 45, is married with two small children at home. In the mugshot, he frowns. His eyes have visible black circles underneath them, and his usual groomed hair and trimmed beard are entirely disheveled. His person reeks of BO, and his breath stinks. Along with a mugshot and fingerprints, the officers took a blood sample of DNA. This DNA will be rushed to the lab to compare to the DNA found at Maria’s apartment.
