10 20th century deaths that went unpunished

On that faithful night, the fifty–eight–year–old came home after a bridge game. She felt something was wrong, but went to bed anyway. 5 Colin Ridgway
On May 13th ,1993 former Dallas Cowboys punter Colin Ridgway was murdered in his home. In 1956 Ridgway was the youngest athlete ever to compete in the Olympics. An unknown assailant waited for him to come home and shot him 7 times.

The police suspects that Bicking was hired by Ridgway's wife to commit the crime. There isn't enough evidence to support this assumption. Joan Ridgway even passed the polygraph test. Her daughters from her previous marriage thought she was behind their stepfather's homicide. The case was settled out of court.
Bicking supposedly confessed to his now ex–wife Katherine, who also accused him of raping her and threatening her with a knife until she didn't sign the documents that gave him full custody of their children. (LINK 16) (LINK
