Outside Reading summary/review The novel Paper Towns was written by John Green and appeals to many of today’s adolescents. However, this book wasn’t received well by all audiences. It was banned from a school district in Florida due to its inappropriate language and many references to teen sex. Although this novel contains vulgar content, it also provides much entertainment for the reader. Paper towns is about a eighteen-year old boy by the name of Quentin who is just finishing up his senior year of highschool. Quentin lives next door to the house of his ongoing crush Margo Roth Spiegelman. Margo has a reputation for being somewhat of an adventurous type. One day she learns her boyfriend is cheating on her with one of her good friends.
