Of Mice and Men is a short novella by, John Steinbeck, detailing on the fear society carries for the unknown. Steinbeck 's novella touched on a subject most do not explore but led us on a journey of self reflec. Starting from the beginning John was born on on February 27, 1902, in Salinas, California, and died 1968 writing his best-selling novel in 1937. It was in highschool that Steinbeck found his passion for writing then went to college at Stanford until 1925 but never did he graduate. After leaving Stanford and hitting rough spots on the way it was with Of Mice and Men Steinbeck was becoming well known in his time with his book becoming a popular and critical success, was selected by the Book-of-the-Month Club.
This Presentation is about my view on Of Mice and Men. The book is interesting with all the different characters and learning about what they do all day. So I would suggest, read this review and then read the book. I hope you enjoy it. I liked the beginning of the book
Do you think a person would put there self’s in harms way and get close to a stranger. Hear of someone being murdered by john Steinbeck. Men of mice there are two men they travel and she gets mixed up in it badly. Curlys wife is to blame because she provoked it and put herself in that situation. Curlys wife is being nosy and she doesn’t need to put her nose into everything.
Sunday night was horrid, It was the last George saw Lenny as immaculate. Lenny did something unbelievable… He murdered Curley’s wife and the puppy. He faced the same consequences just like Weed, but this time there was no time to escape. George has to do it quick before Curley finds Lenny and makes him suffer.
The pristine, white walls seemed to press in on George. Cold air enveloped him, making him feel on edge. The hair on his arms stood up, making his small frame appear a bit larger. George wrapped the pale, blue blanket around himself and pulled it close. Even though he was in Soledad, California, it felt pretty chilly during the winter of 1936.

Published in 1937, the novel Of Mice and Men was written by John Steinbeck. Of Mice and Men is the story of George Milton, an intelligent but uneducated man, and Lennie Small, a bulky, strong but mentally disabled man who want to scrounge enough money together to someday buy their own little house and a plot of land to farm. However, Lennie keeps getting them into trouble so they can’t finish their jobs. Ultimately, George is forced to kill Lennie after Lennie kills Curley's wife. George was not justified in Of Mice and Men for killing Lennie because they could’ve moved somewhere else instead of killing Lennie and that George and Lennie were basically family.

Through the book, I could analyze three themes that were the most impacting for me which were friendship, weakness and the impossibility of an American Dream.
