Heroes are all around you but you just need to find them. In the novel The Outsiders Johnny is a hero. S.E. Hinton uses Johnny Cade's vulnerable personality and broken home life in The Outsiders to suggest that heroes do not have to be perfect.
Could you live with fights, girls, people smoking, and getting drunk? In the novel, The Outsiders By S.E Hinton, you will find out how two gangs, in 1960’s Oklahoma survive. These two groups are the Greasers and the Soc’s. The Greasers do not have any nice clothes and cars.
A hero is a man who shows courage. A man who is admired for his achievements and noble qualities. This does not mean a hero has to be strong or tall. Heroes can come in all shapes and sizes. Johnny Cade is a 16 year old boy that lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with six of his bestfriends called the greasers.
In the beginning of the novel, The Outsiders, written by S.E Hinton, the author portrays Johnny Cade as a weak and helpless character in the book. He`s seen as a dynamic character that has gone through extremely tough times that are difficult for him to handle alone. ``He was the gangs`pet, everyones` kid brother``, if it hadn`t been for the gang Johnny would have never felt love nor affection. He always seemed to have an anxious and suspicious look in his eyes, he was a nervous wreck. He struggled in the areas of self-confidence and loving himself, that even the idea of suicide popped in his head.
A hero is someone who has pride and is committed to putting others before themselves. Heroes risk their own lives to save others. In the book The Outsiders, the greasers are not considered heroes. All three of the boys; Dally, Johnny and Ponyboy are heroes by my definition.
“A true hero isn’t measured by the size of their strength, but by the strength of their heart.” A hero is a person that does something to help or they can also save someone 's life. One example of, being a hero is Darry because he takes care of Ponyboy and Sodapop. Another example, of being a hero is Johnny when he saved Ponyboy and the little kids. A further example, of being a hero is Ponyboy when he also saved the little kid’s life and when he wanted to take the blame for killing Bob.
Heroes in our society are revered and respected as Joseph Campbell reminds us: “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself” (Joseph Campbell). Heroes exist in all societies and throughout history. Maybe they are not always on the news or from the movies, but their words and their actions never fail to resonate across their feats. A hero gives of himself and dedicates himself to causes which better others and their society unlike individuals who are self serving, greedy, and cruel.
Jazz Jennings Heroes are people who stand for what they believe in. A hero is someone who is selfless, thinks of others before themselves, and has made a significant impact. Most heroes believe that the world can always be changed for the better. An example of a great hero is Jazz Jennings, one of the youngest transgender girls who is strong and proud of who she is.
Patrick Granfors Mrs. Collins English 9 22 January 2015 Analytical Essay for The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton In The Outsiders, by S.E. Hilton, we go to a time where gangs remain dominant and run the streets. S.E. Hinton tells us about two enemy gangs. The Socs, one of the many provocative gang groups, kids who live lavish lives and get away with the crimes they commit because they look clean cut and look like good innocent kids on the outside.
In the play Electricidad: a Chicano Take on the Tragedy of Electra Luis Alfaro tackles the Greek tragedy of Electra and mixes it with the reality of gang violence. While reading Text & Presentation I learned that Luis Alfaro was inspired by a girl that had killed her mother because of gang relations and by reading the Tragedy of Electra he concluded that revenge was a motivation in Greek times and even now. When the play was produced in 2006 the time was different than when the play was being written. This is important to note as the historical period is essential for the play.
A hero can be anyone around you. A hero is a person who is strong, has courage, helps others, and does good deeds. Ponyboy deserves to be considered a hero. Johnny also deserves to be considered a hero too. Dally does not deserve to be considered a hero though, unlike Ponyboy and Johnny.
Who is the greatest hero in the outsiders “Heroes are forged not born.” This quote perfectly describes Johnny Cade a well mannered 16 year old boy in the Greasers gang. In the novel “The Outsiders” Johnny didn’t have the best environment to grow up in, he was beat and left alone for most his childhood
In young adult literature there are many characters who leave a perennial impression on the reader. Many of these are considered dynamic characters because of changes they induced throughout the plot. In S.E. Hinton’s novel The Outsiders, Johnny Cade is a character that goes through a major change in personality. At first a boy who is afraid of his own shadow, Johnny turns into a gallant hero that risked his life to save children.
What is a hero? A hero is someone who is courageous and is willing to step up and fight when the time is right. A hero fights for is for the betterment of others, and not only to benefit themselves. Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally are all heroes in "The Outsiders," by S. E. Hinton, although Johnny is the greatest hero of them all.
Heroes are not important! Heroes are people who supposedly keep people safe. We don’t need heroes because they killed too many people. Also there not always there when we need them in dangerous problems.
