In the novel The Outsiders written by S.E. Hinton, the Curtis brothers are different in many ways and their experiences together change their relationships over the course of the novel. The author writes, “Darry is six-foot two, broad-shouldered, and muscular. As you can tell,he is the biggest out of all of us. He has dark brown hair that kicks out in front and a slight cowlick in the back” (Hinton 6). “He was the youngest, next to me, smaller than the rest” (Hinton 11). This quote shows the shows difference between the brothers. It makes sense that Darry is the biggest ,because he is the oldest.
