Introduction
Joseph Stalin was born on December 21, 1879 in Gori, Georgia. He went through many challenges in life since his family was not well-up. He was good academically as he got first class in 1894 from Elementary clerical School of Orthodox located in Gori. He got a vacancy to join Tiflis Theological Seminary where he was expelled due to devoting Marxism and socialists in Georgia Social-Democratic Movement Organization. Finally after many years of engaging and joining politics and movements, he became the Supreme leader of USSR in 1929 lead up to 1953. The goal behind nationalizing the Russian Industry and commerce was to quickly industrializing the economy and gathering agricultural products. Private lands were confiscated from farmers who then did not receive wages for their labor. In contrast to today’s farming, 25 million farmers in Russia during the reign of Joseph Stalin were oppressed where their agricultural outputs were for the government. Stalin idea was to eliminate the small scale farmers replace the mechanized and large scale farming claiming that the transformation would efficiently and effectively increase food in the economy. The first five years of his ruling, Stalin order coal production to increase by 111 per-cent, 335 in electric power while 200% in iron production. As a result, technological problems resulted, death of workers and physical breakdowns. More so, he put limit of consumption to Russian citizens in order to facilitate reinvesting in industries. Nevertheless, collective agriculture failed since many farmers used to hide some of their harvest to cater for their future. This initiative declined agriculture especially in livestock farming where the number of animals reduced drastically.
