“We should hang out sometime”, by Josh Sundquist, published by Little, Brown and Company in 2014. We Should Hang Out Sometime, is a true story about a young man named Josh Sundquist who never really had luck with the ladies. In this book, Josh has tried and tried to find girlfriends, but in the end he was twenty-five years old and realized he had never actually had a real girlfriend that lasted more than twenty-four hours. Josh had been twenty-five years old, when he came to the conclusion that he had never really had what he would have called real girlfriend. Once Josh found out that she really liked him, he immediately ran to his parents to gain permission before he could date her, like most younger teenagers had to do back in the day. Mr. and Mrs. Sundquist allowed him to start dating, but they had many rules. They must always be under adult supervision, short hugs, no lingering touching, and no more than twenty minutes on the phone a day. Later one day, she called him and asked him to go to the youth group meeting with her. He of course asked his parents and then said yes. Josh Sundquist’s parents had also been close and really good friends with Sarah Steven’s parents since they were in high school, so they knew that Sarah was a good young girl, Perfect for their son. They only feared tension between them if something bad were to happen between Sarah Stevens and Josh Sundquist. That night, Josh Sundquist asked Sarah Stevens to be his girlfriend. They were at a youth group meeting and he ran up to her once Josh got the courage and said, “Will you go out with me?” Sarah Stevens replied with “YES!” then Josh said “Cool.” and ran off. Josh thought that having a label as a “boyfriend and girlfriend” was just a label.
