Online Assignment #4
Journal Entry #9
1. I’ve used a memory technique in the category of encoding by feeling, which is recalling the information I’ve learned at least once a day during school semesters. As of right now, I’m studying Biology and I am reading the textbook and am reviewing the power points to each chapter everyday, I find that this is extremely helpful because it not only saves time when getting closer to an exam, it also allows one to retain much more information, which makes the exams much easier.
2. Distributing learning time is something I definitely use quite frequently, I find that it makes the work load much easier and more enjoyable. I sometimes space out each online assignment for this class, having one assignment done one day and another the next. This allows for an easier time with the class.

I definitely overlearn which can make any exam much easier, I love to immerse myself in a subject and be in it for as much time as possible. This allows one to connect the dots for information that you’re learning and can lead to an easier time in lectures. One way I overlearn is that I not only read and go over notes, I watch videos about a subject I don’t know much about. I am actually doing that now in my Biology class, it makes the subject a lot of fun.
4. I find myself always writing information down, especially info that I’m having a hard time understanding. It really helps me because it enforces the ideas of the subject in my mind which definitely helps me remember. I usually write down the answers to quizzes in my Biology class that I get wrong, this enables me to have a keen sense of memory so that when the next time I see a question similar to the one I answered incorrectly, I know right off the bat what the answer might be.
