My biggest concern with improving quality care and patient safety issues in that, the responsibility is not ours alone, our Chief Nurse Executives (CNEs) and Director of Nursing (DON), and senior nursing management staffs to lead the journey Disch J. I find it overwhelming that the majority of the research literature (studies, surveys and reports believe nursing plays the pivotal role in changing the face of health care and improving quality care and patient safety.
The evaluation is the final part of my three mandatory written pieces of my graded unit. The final evaluation stage of the graded unit requires me to reflect on how the activity went, whilst highlighting my strengths, areas that require future development and identify my weaknesses, this, in turn, will enable me to adapt my practice to ensure I am continuously supporting patients to the standards set within The Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC). Looking back on the activity, I am proud of myself for being able to plan and follow the activity through to complication. When completing the book with Mr X I found it to be an enjoyable activity that not only offered benefits to Mr X but also to myself, it allowed me to understand the importance of building a therapeutic relationship with a patient. Building a successful therapeutic relationship required me to have good communication and interpersonal skills, (Radcliffe and Ford, 2015), that allowed me to build a relationship with Mr X based on mutual trust and respect.

Mrs. B is a 76 years old female born in 1939 right here in the state of Maryland. She started her nursing education through a diploma program at Mercy Hospital. Reflecting on the past seven weeks I have acquired countless knowledge, which I will use to further strengthen my profession as an Advanced Practice Nurse. The course allowed me to think beyond my current practice knowledge and acquired innovative ways to evaluate the situation at hand. The learning objective in program outcome four helps set standards that I will use to guide my clinical practice to meet various healthcare needs. Using the case studies has helped to further enhance my knowledge on disease physiological state, using differential diagnosis, disease manifestations, and clinical presentation. It has also taught me the skills on how to differentiate between similar diagnoses to properly identify the problem and treat the patients.

Additionally, this experience helped me to develop effective therapeutic communication techniques and enforce skills to provide enhanced care for the resident. An improvement that I would make for next semester is to improve my execution and time management while performing tasks. I intend to perform skills with greater confidence and improve my overall interactions with the patients, families, and health care workers. Improving these interactions will benefit in the overall comfort of the patient and improve the care that I will provide to them. Overall, this Long Term Care experience provided me with the necessary fundamental skills practice and critical thinking development that will be utilized in the following semesters and throughout my nursing
Nursing is a most trusted and gratifying profession. As a nurse educator, I will express my passion for teaching by incorporating features such as clinical assessments, practical application of theory, evaluation, and role modeling into advanced nursing practice, from previous experiences and current experience and clinical practicum to find success and gratification in students chosen profession as well empowering leaners to develop their own strengths, beliefs, and personal attributes to become a good professional.
