Justin Timberlake: The Renaissance Man In order for a single person to be considered a Renaissance Man/Woman, they have to excel in multiple activities. They need to be educated, participate in a wide range of subjects, and do more than the average person. Justin Timberlake is a man of many talents. From singing in a boyband, to opening his own restaurant, he’s done it all. He’s a one of a kind, which is why he should be featured in the next special edition of Time magazine. Justin Timberlake has been working non-stop since he was just twelve years old. His acting career started when he starred on the show The Mickey Mouse Club in 1993. Since then, his acting career went on pause when he pursued other things, and started back up again in 2007. He has gone on to win multiple awards for his roles in Bad Teacher, and The Social Network. Timberlake has also done multiple voiceovers for animated movies such as Shrek the Third (“Justin Timberlake Biography”). Not only has he starred in movies, he is also widely known for being a regular on Saturday Night Live. Timberlake has won four Emmys from being on the show (Eisenberg). One of the major ones being singing. He started as the front man in N’SYNC in 1995, when he was just fourteen. The boy band made it big, and won over 30 awards throughout their success (Eisenberg). This shows that, yet again, he has mastered the art of many subjects. After starting his solo career in 2002, Timberlake started his own record label “Tennman Records”. So far, he’s won six Grammys for his solo career, and has signed multiple artists to his own label (Komisar). Therefore proving that he’s good at what he does, and he takes part in other aspects of the music business. All of which makes him the ideal person for a Renaissance Man
