The method used in doing the research is Qualitative method for the researchers adapted the KAP survey questionnaire form and conducted interview and observation process with six barangays in district 5 of Manila. In addition, the research is also under a cross-sectional study for the data gathered from the participants with varied characteristics and demographics known as variables will serve as a support in proof of validity in the research findings. With this, it would determine the comparison of the community’s knowledge, awareness, and preventive practices they make in association with its number of dengue cases. Thus, the method would be able to support the analysis on the comparison between the area with the least and most number of dengue cases.

It was then addressed to the Manila City Hall-Health Department, the request was then approved and immediate response has happened. Data was collected by the researchers in a 3-day process to further achieve the goal of the survey, interview, and observation process. In the first day, reseachers went to the barangays of Paco (687 and 818), Malate (744 and 746), and San Andres (763 and 776) to ask for a request to the barangay chairman to conduct a survey. The request was granted, and thus, observation process preceeded. The second day was the actual survey on the barangays of Paco and San Andres wherein the researchers ask for the help of the barangay officials to notify the community about what will happen. In addition, the researchers continued the observations if there are some changes and the 6 chairmen were interviewed for the programs they have in the community.
