My reasoning behind this decision is the result of Kanye’s strong, positive impact on several aspects of my life. From music to fashion, Kanye’s creativity, innovation and vision has heavily influenced my taste in music, sense of fashion and certain viewpoints on issues permeating the world. Kanye’s influence and prominence in the world of music and fashion is second to none. From resume to reputation, Kanye’s work has shaped and shifted the modern age of both music and fashion. The fact that Kanye risked everything from his reputation to financial well-being simply to give the world a shirt displayed his determination and passion for his work. As a fan, I have witnessed the progression of his work from the early stages of his career to now, and wonder what will it all mean in the end. From struggling to gain acceptance from the fashion industry to leading the streetwear culture, how will he want his work to be remembered? It’s hard for me to believe that Kanye wants to simply make some clothes and shoes without some bigger ulterior motive.
