First and foremost, I'm extremely excited for your class this year. I've always considered myself to be more of a writer than a reader, so your class seems perfect. Even though reading is essential in becoming a proficient writer, the mechanics and raw structure of writing is absolutely fascinating to me. Regarding my weaknesses, I’d like to develop my persuasive techniques, especially with using rhetorical devices-- specifically pathos-- within my analytical writing; I find it challenging to smoothly integrate more artistic methods into technical essays. I take constructive criticism very seriously, as I learn best when I see specific areas where my writing could be improved. While it may be merely a club at Chatfield, to me and many of my friends, caring is truly our way of life, and we try to live our lives as servant leaders to the best of our ability. Key Club has shaped me for almost four years, helping me become a better public speaker, a more caring person, and a confident individual. In fact, this past summer, I attended my second Key Club International Convention in Atlanta, where I was able to elect a new International Board with over a thousand other Key Clubbers from around the world.
