-Was there any mischievous behavior with Slade and the business? Stealing perhaps? A: I didn’t witness any but everyone in town knew that freighters stole alcohol from the barrels being transported. -Did Slade have an education? Could he read? -Did Mr. Baumer have a conversation with you about buying the Wood Alcohol? A: I don’t think Slade had an education and no he couldn’t read. -When you and Mr. Baumer found out that slade was dead, what did Mr. Baumer say to you? A: As soon as he heard from Moore about Slade’s death, all he said was “Dead!” Also, he said that Slade couldn’t have frozen to death. -When you guys were unloading the barrels that Slade was supposed to delivery, what did baumer say to you and what was on the barrel? A: The barrel said that there was Wood Alcohol Poison in the barrel and he told me that it was good to know how to read. -What do you think Mr. Baumer meant by saying that? I am not sure. He could have meant it like he used to since he was my fatherly figure after my dad died, he was always telling me to get an education so that I don’t know if something was poisonous.
