Gospel singer and pastor Kim Burrell has been slammed for preaching against homosexuality and has been accused of propagating hate messages, but a leader from the Black church community says her teaching comes from a place of love.
In an interview with The Christian Post, Christ Church International pastor James Duncan said Kim Burrell is tasked to preach God’s message because she is God’s servant. He said the gospel singer is urging people to leave their sinful lives because of love.
“She is preaching a Gospel of love because she is preaching for people to come out of sin,” Pastor Duncan told the Post in the interview. “If our parents corrected us it's not because they hate us, it's because they love us and they don't want us to be destroyed. Jesus is not against the people, He's against the sin which causes us to miss the mark of God.”

Citing Genesis 1:28, he said God commanded Adam and Eve to “be fruitful and multiply,” and this was the lifestyle that He originally designed for man, not the lifestyle demonstrated by the LGBT community.
