In the concluding 2000’s, Amazon created the Kindle Fire tablet in 2011 which was aimed at Apple’s iPad. The following year in 2012, they acquired Kiva Systems for $775 million, a robotics company that creates robots that can move items around warehouses. Let’s not forget the new distribution centers they generated in Texas, investing more than $200 million dollars and creating more than 2,500 jobs. In 2013, they announced plans of Prime Air, a drone delivery to satisfy shipments within hours. Moreover, the company went international and launched their services in India. And in the year after, in 2014, the discussed plans to construct the Echo. The Echo is a voice command device to keep them in the top tier for electronic device. However, they did release the Amazon Fire. This became a very popular device. Using the Amazon Fire device eliminated the need for outside services such as cable.
