She then hands him a letter to deliver to Edmund as well as telling Oswald that she would reward him of he were to find and kill Gloucester. The story then jumps back outside with a beggar aka Edgar helping glocester find his way to Dover. Back in Dover King Lear arrives however, is too embarrassed to put himself in front of his daughter Cordelia seeing as he kicked her out of the kingdom. Lear was hiding in a cornfield when Cordelia sent a small army to find him and bring him to her. While they were looking Cordelia asks a doctor if there was anyway to get rid of Lear's insanity. He recognizes Glocester and starts forgiving him of his sins. King Lear then gets incoherence from disgust of Gloucester's actions. Cordelia’s army then arrive to get Lear but he ends up running away. Oswald then shows up and tries to kill Glocester for the reward however, Edgar defends Glocester and ends up killing Oswald. Oswald gives Edgar the letters, to Edgars surprise the letter was from Goneril telling Edmund that he should kill Albany whenever he gets the chance so they can be together. In the start of the play he was blind in the manner of he couldn’t see things to the way they really are like Regan and Goneril don’t actually love him Cordelia was the only daughter that actually cares for him. As the play goes on and his daughters treat him like crap Lear starts to go insane which affects the people around him because they are trying to get him back into power but he’s not all there anymore and isn’t cooperating.Towards the middle of the play Lear learns/ sees that there is no difference between everyone other than the clothes that they are wearing and realizes that Cordelia was the only one who loves him. At the end of the play Lear is ashamed of what he has done and tries to make it up with Cordelia for his mistake. So overall throughout the play Lear learned how to see things from a different
