The King of Lyres The way the Lyre kingdom works is slightly different to any normal kingdom. When a king retires, the title does not automatically get handed down to his firstborn son, but instead, Lyres fight with the king for it, just before he retires. Unfortunately, the King cannot give his title to another if he chose to, even if it was his dying wish. For a Lyre to take the title, they would have to challenge the current king to a match where the two brawls (unarmed, only using their physical strength) until one has passed out, however, the king can decline any challenge he deems unworthy. The King of Crofters The Crofters are ruled by Charlie Rosene, a kind, 19-year-old man. Having someone so young as a king may be normal for Lyres, but for Crofters, it was quite odd, considering that all the kings before him were in their forties when they ruled. Surprisingly, Charlie did not challenge the past king to get the title, the Crofters do not fight for the title as they find that far too violent. Instead, the king passes the title to his firstborn son, or to whoever he wishes, but it was different for Charlie. No one knows who the past king was going to give his title to, nor do they know where or what happened to him. Sadly, the day the past king disappeared was the day the Crofters first held a festival, and as soon as the village noticed their king’s disappearance, they all went into a panic. The only man who tried to search for the lost king was Charlie, and as the village calmed down, they all agreed on having Charlie as their new king.
