"I have a dream that one day little black boys and girls will be holding hands with little white boys and girls.” This quote is stating that the color of your skin should not be determined how you are seen in the world. That you should be able to have the same possibilities as someone with a lighter or darker skin color than you. There are so many books that have discrimination in them. One of the main books I read that have discrimination in them are ‘A lesson before dying’, ‘The Kite Runner’, and etc. “Afghanistan is like a beautiful mansion littered with garbage, and someone has to take out the garbage... Ethnic cleansing. I like it. I like the sound of it." In other words this quote is saying that you can’t let people who are discriminative towards you hold you back in life. When you let people have a hold on you that will bring jaundice into your life you will continue to let them build themselves on your pain. And when you let them build themselves on your pain they start to believe they have power over you and your culture and that’s what makes discrimination happen because when people think that your weak and lethargic they will assume that everyone from your culture is the same way so they will start think they have power over your entire culture because you proved them right about yourself.
