What is the definition of a ‘leader’? Could it be someone who never wants to see someone fail? Or simply someone who just leads people? There are multiple definitions of ‘leader’ and if there are multiple definitions of leader, that means there would be a large number of leaders in this world, or who have roamed the world in the past. During his twenty year span of professional basketball, Kobe truly believed that basketball was much more than just a game. Kobe believed that there was a process into becoming a great basketball player, it would not just happen out of nowhere. Bryant influenced others not only by his skills, but also by his work ethic, and even by his achievements throughout his legendary career. Although Kobe was not projected to eventually be on the the greatest of all time to play the sport of basketball on his draft night, he still strived towards his goal and slowly achieved it, no matter the circumstances. As previously stated, no one thought of Kobe to become one of the greats, Kobe willingly used that as motivation and strived to be the best player he could be. Fortunately, he arguably became the second best basketball player in the history of basketball. Kobe was not only an influential leader to society, but he was an influential leader to his team. During the finals, the Lakers were down 3-2 games in a best of 7 game series, if they lost one more game, they would come up empty handed.
