Kobe Bryant was one of the most influential NBA players of all time whether on the court or off. Bryant influenced everyone whether it was his skills on the court or his Mamba mentality. But it was not always that way for Kobe Bryant, from living his early years in Italy, and all the summer basketball camps in Philadelphia. Kobe Bryant had many reminders and reasons to keep working hard, one of which are scars that he had gotten along the journey of his career,“As I sit here now, when I take off my shoe and I look down at my scar, I see beauty in it. I see all the hard work, all the sacrifices. I see the journey that it took to get back to this point of being healthy. And I see beauty in that struggle. That’s what makes it beautiful”(Wyatt). Bryant used the beauty in pain to push through and work harder each and every day, and his unique training styles helped him become one of the game's greatest players . Bryant’s unique way of training was known as the 666 workout. Called this because the workout consisted of six hours of training a day, six days a week, for six months a year and he spent two hours on basketball skills, two hours on track work, and 2 hours of weight training(Astramskas). This workout was created so Bryant was able to push himself to be the greatest athlete possible, by training everything Kobe Bryant was able to be game ready all the time, and when the season started back up again he was ready to go like it never ended.
