The film, Last Stop at the Oasis, discusses some major problems effecting climate change today. These difficulties bring real challenges to the lives of many. I think climate change will only worsen the issues that were discussed in the film. The drought in California, unless there is a chance to reverse the damage that has already been done will continue to suffer. They might have rainy years, but overall they cannot bring back all the water that has been already used up. The water level in Lake Mead is also challenge. The reservoir which is the source of water to many people has seen the water level change drastically. There not only is it how much of it is being used up, its also the rate of how quickly it is consumed. In only a few decades the water level has dropped drastically. I don’t think a pipeline should be built because it don 't think it justifies shifting resources of one community to help the other. The problem will still exist and the pipeline is a very expensive limited time solution. There are other ways to try to fix the problem rather throwing so much money around. Regarding the farmers rights vs the fisherman 's rights, its a matter of what is more important right now. Yes the farmers should have access to ground water but the endangered fish, if they went extinct, might disrupt the ecosystem. There are other animals …show more content…
I love the idea of the new water. I think this is a viable option that can be applied to daily life. The water is clean and drinkable. From my own life, when I lived in India and we needed to get water we would use similar methods using rocks so the water was filtered and clean. The only hard point of this initiative would be to try and sell it to the general public. From the video, we could see not a lot of people were okay with the idea but I think if its marketed right people will consume it. If not, I don 't think at the end they will have much choice in consuming it either because that’s really all that will be
